RecurDyn supports Restart Function. It is very useful with following cases.
•When the simulation is finished abnormally.
•When the user wants to simulate the model until the more end time although the simulation is finished normally.
In order to use the Restart Function with Particleworks, the user has to create the ICF file and edit the pw.container file.
•The ICF file is created in RecurDyn GUI. For more information, click here.
•Edit the pw.container file and modify the string “inputProfFile” “input.profbin” for the last Particleworks result file(*.profbin) as shown below:
•pw.container file is in “<ProjectLocation>\PrejectName\scene\pre” folder.
•Particleworks result file is in “<ProjectLocation>\PrejectName\scene\result” folder.

Note
If the user does not want to use Restart Function, restore the inputProfFile to its original state such as “inputProfFile”, “input.profbin”.
