The user can define motion, initial conditions, and friction force using Joint page.

Figure 1 PTCV property page [Joint page]
•Type: Shows the type of joint.
•Curve
•Curve: Changes the curve by using CV.
•Preview for Curve Segments: Shows the segments of the curve by clicking Preview.
•Setting for Curve Segments: Access Base Curve Segment dialog box as shown in Figure 2

Figure 2 Base Curve Segment dialog box
o Curve Name: Shows the curve name.
o Use Total Segment: If this option is selected, the user can make equally spaced contact points on the curve. For more information, click here.
o Curve Segment: Defines the number of segments between a start node and an end node. For more information, click here.
o Interpolation Type: Selects an interpolation type of the curve to as Curve(non-uniform), Poly5(non-uniform) Curve(uniform), Poly5(uniform). For more information, click here.
•Include Motion: Defines the motion of ptcv joint. For more information, click here.
•Include Initial Conditions: Define initial conditions of ptcv joint.
•Position: Changes the initial point position on the curve.
•Tangential Velocity: Defines the tangential velocity along the curve.
•Friction
•Include Friction: If this option is checked, the friction force can be defined for the ptcv joint. Only Sliding type is supported. For more information, click here.
•Force Display: Displays the resultant force vector graphically on Working Window. For more information, click here.
