RecurDyn Standalone Solver does not support GUI. So, if the user wants to play an animation, should be create a *.ran file during the simulation. For more information about the ran file, click here.
In the case of flexible models, if the user wants to see contour data such as stress and strain, a *.srd and *.erd files should be created manually by using Output Regenerator in GUI.
To create a ran file
1. Edit the rmd file and search for the string “RANSAVE”. You can find a block of data in the rmd file as shown below:
!========== ====== OUTPUT =====================! OUTPUT/GRSAVE , RPLTSAVE = TRUE , RADSAVE = TRUE , REQSAVE = TRUE , OUTSAVE = TRUE , MSGSAVE = TRUE , RANSAVE = FALSE |
2. Change the FALSE to TRUE. If exporting a *.rmd file after checking the RAN as result files on the Simulation dialog box from the Model Setting group, do not need to change.
