Speed Sensor

 

This sensor allows the user to measure the velocity of assembly (web) in the sensor.

The speed sensor measures the velocity of assembly (web) through the following steps.

1.  The speed sensor finds the closest a beam element of assembly (web) from the sensor center position.

2.  A position of the beam element is checked whether the position is in the range of sensor.

3.  If the position is in the sensor, the velocity of the closest position of the beam element is computed and the sensor output is computed. As shown in Figure 1, if a beam assembly passes to the range of the sensor, the sensor output can be computed from the following equation.

: the result of sensor.

: the velocity of the closest position of sheet segment (or shell element) in the range of the sensor.

: the velocity for the center position of sensor.

: the specified direction of the sensor.
