Assist Modeling

RecurDyn/Mesher helps to easily apply the condition of constraint as the joint and force defined in the geometric entity and the condition of contact defined by using the patch of surface in the Assembly mode. The condition of constraint keeps the existed constraint after creating the mesh when the FDR is automatically created, or the node is created in the marker given by the constraint. Otherwise, the condition of contact does not keep the condition of contact applied in the geometric entity. But you can decrease the modeling time by creating the patch set automatically to easily define the contact of FFlex body.

Preserve Constraints: If this option is checked, the user can see lists of constraints to the geometric entity. So, when checking the check box, the user can preserve the constraints and create the FDR element.

Name: Shows the name of constraints

FDR: If it is checked, the user can create the FDR element in the selected face or edge.

Geometry: Shows the list of selected faces or edges on the geometric entity to create the FDR element.

Default geometries are added when a target geometry is selected.

Faces where a constraint marker exists become default geometries.

Add/Remove Gr: Select edges and faces to add or remove.

Sel: If it is checked, the selected constraint is kept after mesh.

Pre-Create Patch(Line) Set & Preserve Contact: If this option is checked, the user can see lists of contacts to the geometric entity. So, when checking the check box, patch sets and line sets will be created on the face of geometric entity. And in the case of Geo Contact, the contacts can be preserved.

    RecurDyn/Mesher supports all contacts.

Name: Shows the name of contacts.

Set: If it is checked, patch sets or line sets will be created in the selected faces and edges.

Geometry: Shows the list of faces and edges on the geometric entity to create patch sets and line sets.

Default geometries are added when a target geometry is selected.

Faces and edges where the contact action or base geometry exist become default geometries

    Geo

This option is activated, when the contact entity is only Geo Contact.

This option is checked, Geo Contact is kept after mesh. And the action or base geometry of the contact changes to the created patch set or line sets.

Other contacts are deleted after mesh.

Note

After finishing mesh, the user can make a patch set or line set with Generate function in Assist Modeling dialog box.
